Join us as we highlight important updates for employers in the West Coast states of Washington, Oregon and California. We will examine the impact of new and proposed laws affecting the workplace in Washington and Oregon (such as new transparency requirements for job postings in Washington, the expansion of benefits under Oregon’s workers’ compensation laws, new restrictions in confidentiality agreements in Oregon and Washington, and the current status of non-compete agreements in Washington and Oregon).
Additionally, will be discussing the recent impact of new and proposed laws affecting the workplace in California, including updates to the California Family Rights Act, California Pay Transparency requirements, revised COVID requirements, and expanded FEHA protections for off-site marijuana use. We will also provide an update on the status of restrictive covenants in employment and the “rule of reason” that may be applicable to restrictions in business-to-business transactions.
Attendees will come away with action items for updating their policies and procedures to maximize compliance with the employment law landscape in these jurisdictions.
