Course Description

Many employers continue to employ a significant portion of their workforce remotely, an outgrowth of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Doing so presents a number of wage and hour and other compliance challenges, particularly when employees unilaterally change their work-from-home location, without informing their employer.  This webinar will address a number of the practical considerations for managing a remote workforce:

  • Managing and confirming employee worksite obligations
  • Time recordkeeping and preventing off-the-clock work
  • Managing break and rest time
  • State law implications for expense reimbursement, access to personnel files, timing of final paychecks, enforcement of restrictive covenants and severance agreement restrictions

This webinar will also highlight key policy updates that should be made to align employer practices with the remote workforce.
