Course Description

Employees do not check their religion/faith at the workplace door.  Nor do those with bias against religion in general or specific religions in particular.  This webinar will address:

  1. When is a belief that is not religious on its face still considered a religious belief for purposes of Title VII protection from discrimination and eligibility for accommodation?
  2. How far must an employer go for an accommodation to be considered a reasonable accommodation?
  3. When is a reasonable accommodation an “undue hardship?” under the recent Supreme Court decision in Groff?
  4. Common gaps and traps in HR policies and practices with regard to religious accommodations
  5. Examples of unlawful discrimination based on religious identity, attributes or stereotypes and preventive and remedial action
  6. Examples of harassing conduct based on or directed at a religion/religious group and preventive and remedial action
