Christmas and the other seasonal holidays are coming.  And they pose increased legal and cultural challenges for employers.

Employers need to plan ahead to minimize the risks and maximize the joy. And, we shall do just that in a 60-minute webinar in which we will discuss the following issues:

1. Can the employer have a Christmas Tree? If yes, what other decorations should it have, too?
2. Can employers restrict what decorations employees have/post in their work areas? If yes, what kind of restrictions may apply?
3. What should you call your holiday party?
4. Does attending the holiday party count as a “day at work” with regard to hybrid schedules?
5. How can you minimize the risk of employees drinking alcohol at the holiday party?
6. Can you invite temporary employees to your holiday party without making them regular employees?
7. Do holiday bonuses count in calculating the regular rate of pay for overtime?
8. If/when can you avoid taxes by using gift cards?
9. How do solicitation and distribution rules fit into the holiday season?
10. Is it okay for employees to touch when dancing? What kind of touch is okay (oy vey)?
11. Should you specify which gifts are off limits or wait to hear about the sex toys or worse?
12. Do harassment rules apply to the music? Of course, they do. What do you do?
13. Is it safer to swim with piranhas or attend the “after party”? Get out your bathing suits

We will address these and other issues by way of holiday story full of nightmarish moments we hope to help you avoid in real life.
