Join us as we highlight important updates for employers in the New England states of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We will examine the impact of new and proposed laws affecting the workplace in these states (such as expanded protections of first amendment rights, new developments with the Connecticut Family and Medical Leave Act, proposed legislation in Connecticut focusing on issues such as work life balance and employees’ mental health, recent amendments to child labor laws in New Hampshire, new legislation in Massachusetts prohibiting discrimination based on natural hair styles or textures historically associated with race, changes to the Paid Family and Medical Leave program and minimum wage and the elimination of Sunday/holiday premium pay requirements) and will discuss impactful case law developments. Attendees will come away with an enhanced familiarity with the employment law landscape in New England, accompanied by action items for updating their policies and procedures to maximize compliance with the employment law landscape in these jurisdictions.
