Mandatory leave and the tax credit for voluntary leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 is over. Many employers have segments of their workforce working in a remote or a hybrid capacity. This new reality leaves many employers wondering how to manage COVID-19 related absences and leave requests. This webinar will review the impact of remote work on employee FMLA eligibility and how COVID-19 may be interpreted under the definition of a serious health condition. We will also review approaches employers should use to manage employee absences, including the risks associated with over-designating COVID-19 related absences as FMLA leave.
