Artificial intelligence is no longer a future workplace issue. It is already being used by employees, managers and business partners in ways that affect confidentiality, productivity, employee relations, and legal compliance. Employers cannot afford to ignore AI. Instead, they should understand how it is being used, embrace its potential benefits, and adopt appropriate restrictions, safeguards, and requirements to manage the legal and practical risks. In this webinar, we will cover:
The importance of distinguishing between enterprise AI tools and public AI platforms, particularly where confidential business information, employee data, trade secrets, or privileged communications may be involved.
How employment policies, including harassment, discrimination, confidentiality, information security, acceptable use, electronic communications, and workplace conduct policies, should be updated to address AI-related risks and expectations.
The use of AI to monitor productivity and performance and the legal and employee relations issues that correspond with such use.
Issues relating to AI-generated recordings, transcripts, and summaries of Teams, Zoom, and other platform calls, including notice, consent, correction and retention.
Steps employers should consider before using AI to assist with employment decisions, such as screening applicants for employment.
