K-12 and postsecondary institutions receiving federal financial assistance are subject to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. For the first time since 1975, the U.S. Department of Education has published significant changes in the regulations establishing legal obligations of Title IX recipients under 34 CFR Part 106. The changes needed to be implemented by August 14, 2020.
