The summer is coming, and with the warmer weather comes the arrival of teen workers and interns for many employers. Employers must be aware that these younger workers know their rights! There have been game-changing modifications to whether an individual is an intern or whether that person must be paid as an employee. And, all of the attention paid to workplace harassment has no less application to your pinger workers. Regardless of the nature of your business, be it service, retail, health care or even government, the likelihood is that you have teenagers in your workforce. And whether your organization employs younger workers just during the summer or throughout the course of the year, the prudent employer absolutely must know how to deal with the issues that arise as a result of employing these younger employees.
