Course Description:
In the ever-changing business environment, employers should be familiar with their rights, obligations and responsibilities in the workplace. This 2-½-hour seminar, designed for human resources generalists and in-house counsel, is structured to familiarize attendees with a basic understanding and a general overview of federal and state laws governing employer/employee relationships, Title VII coverage (including discrimination, harassment and retaliation), the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
