What to keep and what to delete: An ever-expanding list of federal, state and even local laws require employers to create and retain various forms of employment records and typically impose penalties for failure to do so properly. Proper maintenance, storage and destruction of records is key to compliance. Appropriate, complete and accurate records are also critical to defending against employment-related litigation. This webinar will cover some of the most significant federal and state requirements, and discuss best practices, including when records should be kept beyond the minimum time mandated by law. What is needed and recommendations for specific types of records will be explained.
