Program ID 2609167
Tuesday, Feb 6th 2018
01:00 pm - 02:00 pm (EST)
1.0 Credits
Course Description:

Late 2016 and 2017 saw numerous state and local governments enact so-called “salary history ban” laws as part of efforts to address the gender pay gap by ensuring low pay doesn’t follow women from job to job and compound over time. Four of those bans have already gone into effect – including in California and New York City – and several more will become effective over the next year, not to mention other jurisdictions considering passing similar laws. This webinar will:
  • Discuss the key features of salary history bans that have been passed around the country
  • Examine the difficult issues presented by these laws, many of which lack additional guidance to help employers understand their obligations
  • Explore compliance strategies that employers can use to comply with the laws applicable to them and minimize their risk in the hiring and recruiting process

Credits: 1.0 CA CLE; 1.2 NJ CLE; 1.0 NY CLE; 1.0 PA CLE; 1.0 HRCI; 1.0 SHRM
