Learn how to make the right decision while avoiding legal missteps! This full-day seminar will examine the hiring process, from beginning to end. Starting with the job posting/advertisement and ending with the offer letter and the legality of background checks, this full-day training, designed for Human Resources professionals, in-house counsel and managers, will take a practical and business-focused look at how to ensure the best hire while minimizing the possibility of legal claims. The training also will discuss how to prepare for these claims if they do come. Please join our fast-paced and interactive analysis of the hiring process where special attention will be paid to subjects, including, creating and maintaining diversity in hiring; updating your employment application to ensure legal compliance; making the decision on whom to interview; avoiding legal liability in your interview questions; preparing for questions asked by candidates and avoiding legally binding promises to those questions; documenting the hiring decision; drafting an effective and legally compliant offer letter; the use of social media in the screening process and conducting background checks.
