Wage and Hour Quicksand for Manufacturers of Consumer and Packaged Goods
Program ID 2917741

01:00 pm - 02:00 pm (EST)
1.0 Credits
Course Description:
Manufacturers of consumer and packaged goods face increased wage and hour risk, including class and collective action. Shift change procedures, clothes-changing practices and other types of pre-shift and post-shift activities often expose these employers to “off the clock” claims. Compensation plans that incentivize productivity and shift coverage make calculating overtime pay more complicated. This webinar will explore key areas of wage and hour risk for manufacturers of consumer and packaged goods and provide practical strategies to minimize those risks, taking into account common industry-specific needs and concerns. A special focus in this webinar is on how to minimize wage and hour risk by working to change the habits of both production employees and their managers. As with other areas of compliance, culture matters!
