Course Description:
Along with the rise in awareness regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, has come an increase in legal workplace issues in these areas. Potential discrimination claims, needed updating to employment policies and an awareness of gender transitioning issues are real concerns for employers operating in the ever-increasing number of state and local jurisdictions that provide protections for employees on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. This webinar will deal with the basic legal issues decision makers and managers are confronted with, as well as practical approaches and suggestions to create an environment designed to reduce discrimination claims based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
