Program ID 2965089
Thursday, Jul 16th 2020
02:00 pm - 03:30 pm (EST)
1.5 Credits
Course Description:
Remote work, layoffs, stay at home orders and business closures have rapidly changed the job market in unprecedented ways, yet employers still need to submit immigration sponsorship applications for key foreign national employees. The Department of Labor’s focus on protecting American workers combined with the detailed labor market test required for the PERM process make for a complex web of considerations for employers. In this one and a half hour webinar we will review the PERM process requirements, discuss recent trends and provide employers with a roadmap to the new normal. The following topics will be covered:

· How to meet PERM advertising requirements in an electronic world
· Anatomy of the PERM job description and how to write one
· What “normal” means when it comes to minimum job requirements
· What is Business Necessity and when do you need it
· DOL audit trends and how to preempt them
· Alternatives to the PERM process for green card sponsorship
